ADVANTAGES...

There are many ways for nonprofit organizations to generate money. These activities range from selling candy bars, washing cars or sponsoring a gala evening with entertainment. Few, if any, of these events offer the advantages and flexibility of a CM Benefit Auctions (CMBA) fund-raising event.

Flexibility:

The fund-raising auction can be staged as a stand alone event, planned around a meeting, or it can be incorporated into an existing awards or recognition banquet. The fund-raising auction works extremely well in conjunction with golf tournaments or similar sporting activities.

Low Risk:

Many fund-raising activities require the sponsoring organizations to place large sums of money at risk. With fund-raising auctions, little capital is required.

Enjoyable Event:

From the initial planning stages to the evening of the event, fund-raising auctions are a fun and exciting way to raise money. The procurement rally is a particularly exciting time when volunteers brainstorm about items and packages they would like to solicit for the auction. Many organizations find that a great deal of camaraderie develops among the volunteers.

Fee:

Although each event is custom designed and fees are negotiated based on the services provided, CMBA fees represent a very small percentage of the funds generated. Many times, our techniques and promotions generate enough additional revenue to pay our fee.

For the time invested, few events offer a higher return than a fund-raising auction. Benefit auctions allow an organization to establish it's own financial goal. Auctioneering Services
Fund raising auctions are labor intensive.

Consequently, it is critical for non profits to receive the highest yield possible on their auction items. Having the right auctioneer is crucial to achieve this goal. CM Benefit Auctioneers have not only graduated from the best commercial auction schools in the nation, but have also received extensive fund raising auction training. This combination of instruction ensures that a CMBA Auctioneer will secure the highest bids possible while keeping the audience interested and entertained.

Invoicing
Do guests leave your event with the best possible impression? Or are they frazzled because they spent 30 minutes or MORE in the check out line?

Last impressions are just as important as first impressions, so do your organization and your guests a favor and let the CMBA staff handle check out. We will bring in computers, software that is designed for large commercial auctions, printers and trained personnel to quickly and efficiently process payments. At the end of the event, we will reconcile the auction funds and deliver the proceeds and several useful reports to your treasurer.

Silent Auction Bid Form Sales & Preparation
Do your guests have problems following the established bid increments in the silent auction?

Illegitimate bids can cause major problems for silent auction officials and other bidders. CMBA bid forms completely alleviate this problem. Bid amounts are pre-printed on the form, so guests simply write their bid number next to the amount they wish to bid. If you need a little extra help, a CMBA staff person can prepare the forms.
